MANHATTAN (KSNT) – A bar in the Little Apple is in the running for the USA Today Reader’s Choice favorite beer bar award.
Each year a panel of beer experts nominates 20 bars to the Readers’ Choice awards. Judges look at drafts, bottled and canned beers and local or regional selections, according to its website.
This year Tallgrass Tap House, a bar in the downtown district of Manhattan at 320 Poyntz Avenue, was selected as a nominee. Tallgrass Tap House describes itself as an 11,000-square-foot bar with a modern and rustic aesthetic.
“Order a tasting flight to sample multiple beers and prepare to enjoy the fine food and music nights on the rooftop,” USA Today writes on its website.
The bar has 18 taps with exclusive in-house beers like Bulldozer and Pumpkin Slayer Stout, according to USA Today.
Free State Brewing Company in Lawrence was also nominated for a USA Today favorite brewpub award.
